Not only is this the first week of classes, I have art featured in two exhibitions in Normal!

The first is the 2015 MFA Biennial at University Galleries of Illinois State University. I will be showing work with 16 colleagues in the Master of Fine Arts program. A public reception will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, from 5:00-7:00pm, and the exhibition will be on view through February 15.

The second reception is my solo exhibition Habits of Survival in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department of Rachel Cooper Hall. I will be presenting independent research on skin and politics; as well as Black Feminism. The reception will be Friday, January 16, 2015 from 2:00-4:00pm, and a lecture at 3:00pm. The exhibition will be on view through February 2.
